  • Walk along St Clair

During my visit to New Zealand, I went for a walk along St Clair and St Kilda beaches in Dunedin with my old friend Sushi. The weather was spectacularly good, lots of sun and many people out enjoying the summer heat.

  • Visiting Dunedin

I visited my home town of Dunedin for the first time in my life recently. Whenever I returned in the past it was because I was coming home. This time around, I returned simply to visit before heading back to Norway. It was slightly surreal to feel like an outsider in my home town, but nice none the less.

Thankfully Dunedin put on some spectacularly good weather for my trip 🙂

  • Christmas at Toko Mouth

Christmas day at Toko Mouth. After the traditional roasted turkey courtesy of my mum, my dad and I headed to the river where I attempted swimming on my (formerly munted) shoulder for the first time in many years. It seems that I can indeed still swim despite not being able to since 2006 🙂

  • Conroys dam

During a skating expedition in July 2011, we stopped in at Conroy’s dam near Alexandra. There was no ice to be seen, but the lake was a beautiful crystal clear mirror.

Dave Patchett gazing out onto the lake. I wonder what he was thinking about?

  • Dave Patchett enjoying a casual swim

During a skating trip to Poolburn dam in July 2011, Dave Patchett decided there wasn’t enough ice so took a casual dip underneath it instead!!!

  • Snow day

We had the biggest snow dump I’ve seen in Dunedin city during 2011. Here are snaps from my camera from that day. Justine and I went to Poppas Pizza’s before going to see some snowboarders and skiers having a lot of fun on the hills.

  • Trip to Hoffmans dam

Whilst staying in Naseby for a hockey tournament, Dave Patchett, myself and Chris Laing walked up in the snow to Hoffman’s dam. The dam was frozen, but not enough to skate on.
