  • Jenel Bode comes to Dunedin!

Woot! Got a lift back to Dunedin from Christchurch with my old hockey coach Jenel Bode who I’m hoping will take a job with the Dunedin Ice Hockey Association as a professional hockey coach/skating instructor. We stopped off at the Moeraki boulders on the way.

  • Central Otago Rail trail

With my leg out of cast, I decided it was time for some serious fitness. So I agreed to do the Central Otago Rail Trail with Anna! It turned out that my leg wasn’t quite as strong as I thought! I had some serious issues getting from point A to point B. But we did make it back to Dunedin safe and sound eventually. We did the 150 km trail in three days and cycled another 20 km to reach the Tairei Gorge train the next day for our trip back to Dunedin. Unfortunately Anna has banned me from putting any photos of her on the web 🙁 So there’s no pretty photos of her to show 🙁

  • Burnt car photos

I’ve been looking for these photos for the past three years! I eventually found them whilst looking through my old backup disks for some other photos. So here for your amusement are the photos of my car after some lunatics took it for a drunken joy ride. Visit the original post for more information. Thanks to Mark Dudley for the photos.

  • Burnt Car

Some $&*%# decided it would be nice idea to break into my car, take it for a joy ride, get drunk whilst at it, then drive it to the top of Signal Hill in Dunedin, put the handbrake on and floor it till the rims hit the tarmac then once it wouldn’t move any further set it on fire!!! Luckilly I was insured, so I only lost $50 on the car.

  • Yvette’s birthday bash

We had yummy Chinese at the Golden Sun for Yvette’s birthday. We had a strange dish which had strange black thingies which made your mouth go numb when you ate them. If you know what those black thingies are called, please let me know in the comments as I’d love to try them again some time.

  • Hockey in Alexandra

I went to Alexandra for a round of the Southern League ice hockey championship and took some photos of the Maniototo vs Queenstown Stars game. The lighting was awesome, so all the photos came out well 🙂

  • Catlins trip with Anna

Anna and I headed down to the Catlins only a few days after we both arrived back in New Zealand. The scenery was great and the lighting was perfect for some decent photography.
