Skating on Schlachtensee
I went ice skating in Berlin today 🙂 Beautiful super thick super hard ice. I had the whole lake to myself except when a dad asked me if it was safe for his daughter to hop on for a photo opportunity.
To my Berlin friends: Don’t try this unless you know what you are doing. There are some sections where you will just fall straight through the ice. There’s a picture in my video below of a hole which I stuck my hand into to confirm if the water was cold … it was indeed very cold!

Fish n chips with ice cream
This is what happens when you order fish n chips from a drunk chef. Fish n chips, served with ice cream and a banana fritter. Not sure if genius or stupid. I enjoyed it very much 🙂

Anna and I went site seeing around Berlin. Too much stuff to see, not enough time! We went to Alexanderplatz, did the normal Brandenburger Tor touristy stuff, then headed to the DDR museum.

Karpfenteich
Karpfenteich is a nice lake very close to my home in Berlin. I sometimes run to it and back from my apartment, and go swimming and working from it’s shores during the summer.
