  • Spring barbecue in Norway

Everyone says that spring in Norway is beautiful. So we decided to celebrate it by having a barbecue by the lake at a balmy -3°. We also discovered that putting a baby disposable barbecue on a wooden bench is not such a good idea, unless of course you want to barbecue your food with the table itself.

  • Sushi

Some photos of my old friend Sushi and myself at St Clair beach in Dunedin. We took these whilst I was back for a holiday.

  • Walk along St Clair

During my visit to New Zealand, I went for a walk along St Clair and St Kilda beaches in Dunedin with my old friend Sushi. The weather was spectacularly good, lots of sun and many people out enjoying the summer heat.

  • Visiting Dunedin

I visited my home town of Dunedin for the first time in my life recently. Whenever I returned in the past it was because I was coming home. This time around, I returned simply to visit before heading back to Norway. It was slightly surreal to feel like an outsider in my home town, but nice none the less.

Thankfully Dunedin put on some spectacularly good weather for my trip 🙂

An awesome little beach beside the Matukituki river that Chris Laing and I had lunch at on New Years Eve in Mount Aspiring National park.

  • Tunnel Beach

Valerie and I went to see the Dunedin Street race and took a bunch of really cool photos. Erm, then I lost all those really cool photos 🙁 But we also went to tunnel Beach and I took the following photo on my EXTREMELY shonky phone camera.

  • Holes at Toko Mouth

Here are my holes from the mid-late 1980’s … actually, they’re not meant to be holes, the adults just didn’t get it. What I was trying to do was to create a barrier of sand so big that I could sit on the beach and watch the waves crash around me. It never worked very well (duh!) but I did build some rather large barriers in a vain attempt to stop the ocean. Wasted youth :p
