I visited the historic Chinese settlement in Arrowtown, New Zealand. The settlement consists of old huts built by Chinese immigrants who came to New Zealand seeking gold. The huts are a little crude, but I’m sure would have kept the miners warm in the cold winter months with the help of plenty of firewood.
Melissa and I went mountain biking along the Clutha river from Albert Town to Wanaka. We had an awesome time cruising along a sweet little dirt path.

I had an absolute blast hooning down Korketrekkeren today with Boban and Ivelina. It’s a huge hill setup for sledding. You cruise down in the sled, then take the subway train back to the top 🙂

I bought my first radio controlled air plane today, a Parkzone Mini-Vapor. Having never flew a plane in my life, and not being much into reading instructions, I promptly flew it, then crashed it! Thankfully it is a hardy little machine and seems to handle the knocks quite well and should live to fly another day 🙂
After escaping the people overflow in Wanaka, Melissa and I headed over the Crown Range enroute to the equally overflowing Queenstown. For future reference, I don’t recommend visiting tourist hot spots on new years eve 🙂
