  • Photo difficulties

My friend Madvhi took a photo of me last night. It came out oddly, with strange white lines everywhere. When I tried to do a selfie, the framed picture on the wall behind me got messed up. I can’t figure out why. Very odd.

  • Green tea

Whilst people back home were dealing with a terrifying earthquake (everyone I know seems to be okay thankfully), I was taking my first baby steps towards becoming a grown up. I bought a green tea ๐Ÿ™‚ As a child, I was always told that hot drinks are for adults, and so I never had any. Today, for some unknown reason, I breached that “it’s for adults” thing. I’m unsure if this is because I’m growing up, or if it’s like a 10 year trying a cigarette just to be rebellious. Either way, ordering a tea has been accomplished.

I forgot to take a picture of my tea, so this is just a picture I grabbed off Wikipedia ;)

  • Fruit around the world

Random things I’ve noticed regarding fruit around the world:

Australians think all Mango’s taste like donkey’s dick unless they buy it in Australia.
North American strawberries are huge and pink, and taste like strawberry flavoured water.
Strawberries in NZ are stupidly overpriced.
All berries taste better in Europe.
Bannanas usually taste good in NZ, always taste good in North American but only very occasionally taste even edible in Europe.
Kiwifruit taste the same everywhere, but lots of morons don’t know what they’re called and stupidly refer to them as “kiwis”. Eating Kiwi’s is illegal and usually results in a prison sentence.
Apricot’s in Europe taste like dog poop, yet Europeans still declare they taste good.

  • SmartShaker shaker bottle

This is the best shaker bottle I’ve ever owned. It comes with two handy containers underneath the shaker, for storing your powder in. In this case, the powder was Huel. I managed to fit 90 g in the smaller container and 125 g in the larger container. It would be more like 75 g and 100 g if I didn’t pack it in tightly though.

  • Google knows what you buy

So apparently Google now knows what you buy. I bought a Smart Shaker from Amazon recently, and it showed up in a Google search for “smart shaker”. Is this new? Or has Google been doing this for a while and I just didn’t notice?

  • Goodbye Free Advice Berlin

A Facebook group I used to be an administrator for was run with a simple democratic approach. A rogue admin tricked us into allowing another admin to join our group, and just after we realised what had occurred, myself and the other elected admin were unexpectedly removed without any consultation with the rest of the administration/moderation team. All group moderators chose to leave within hours of this occurring. The following are screenshots from the fallout of that.

  • Touchnote bug

Thanks to the helpful folks at Touchnote for fixing this lickity split ๐Ÿ™‚

When I try to log in with Facebook, I get this:
    touchnote-fb

When I try to login via email, it says the password is wrong. When I try to reset the password, it says this:
    touchnote-reset

Something is going horridly wrong ๐Ÿ˜›
