  • Zanzibar Spice Farm

We visited a spice farm in Zanzibar. If you ever go to Tanzania, then I highly recommend this for an afternoon activity. The people running the spice farm were super friendly and excited to share their knowledge of the spice industry. They also farmed a lot of fruit, which was a lot tastier and more photogenic.

  • Termite mound

Check out this giant termite mound we found in Tarangire national park in Tanzania!

  • Zebra herd

A beautiful herd of zebras came plowing over this hill in Tarengire national park, to come drink from the river.

  • Baboons

We met these little guys at the entrance to the Serengeti national park in Tanzania. Documentaries I had seen explained that baboons would tear your face off at the first opportunity, but we were surrounded by swarms of them and they were mostly quite standoffish around us. They were more interested in breaking into cars and rubbish bins to steal food, than messing with humans.

  • Dinner in Zanzibar

Food isn’t a strong point of Tanzania in my opinion. But while there, Basia and I did manage to track down a couple of restaurants with decent food.

  • Chameleon

Near the entrance to Serengeti national park, I found a large number of chameleon’s hanging out on rocks. Unfortunately, they usually ran away whenever I tried to get near, but I did manage to snap this picture of one of these little beauties before it took off.
