Liuba and I went to see Light Park Tenerife, a park with glowing sculptures. I have to say, this was quite a crappy park and is not worth the trip to get there, or the €11 entry fee. There was a demonstration of … I’m not sure what. It was some dude trying to look impressive by swirling some sticks around and bouncing around on stage, but I’m pretty sure I could do better with a few weeks of dedicated practice. I highly recommend avoiding this place if you can lol. It did allow me to create some pretty pictures at least 🙂

Chess set

I’m not a fan of overpriced ornaments that don’t serve any real purpose. I’d rather spend a bit more on things that are both functional and good-looking. But there’s one exception to this rule for me – luxury chess sets.

I’ve been fascinated by these beautiful sets since I was a kid. I love the intricate designs and high-quality materials they’re made of. So, I finally caved and splurged on one for ~€450 in total. I didn’t have a lot of room, but I found the perfect compact set for ~€300 from thechessstore.com and a matching board for ~€150 from the Royal Chess Mall, and I don’t regret it one bit. It’s the only thing in my place that I bought just for its looks, and I love it.

Sima Park in Tenerife

I’d never been to a water park before. The closest I’d been, was to hydroslides at water pools. Liuba and I noticed that there was a water park near where we were staying in Tenerife, but were surprised to find out that it was rated one of the best water parks in the world! I have nothing to compare it to, but I can confirm it is an absolutely awesome place to visit! So much fun. I want to go back some day.
