  • Memorial to the Sinti and Roma people

Julia and I visited the memorial to the Sinti and Roma people who died during World War 2.

  • Teufelsberg spy station

I finally visited the former NSA spy station on top of Teufelsberg in Berlin. I’ve walked around it, to it, toward it and anything else you can imagine, but never went into it. I went with my friend Diana who was visiting for the weekend.

  • Blasphemy

Just because the law defines something as a crime, does not mean it is something that should be prosecuted.

New Zealand has a blasphemy law. Police don’t waste their time prosecuting people for being blasphemous because they know it’s a stupid law. The same should apply to weed. – Ryan Hellyer

  • Vegan beef tartar

I’m not much of a food blogger, but this was too weird not to mention. I had vegan beef tartar for dinner today. I wouldn’t touch real beef tartar with a pole, but I tried the vegan version. I described it as “a bit weird”. Not bad, just weird. It was apparently made from rice cakes.

  • Huel Mexican Chilli

Tonight I had Huels new Mexican Chilli soup. Just add hot water and you have an INSTANT meal ๐Ÿ™‚ None of this faffing about with stove tops and vegetables and crap.

This is probably the closest I’ll ever get to becoming a soldier … I feel like I just ate an MRE for dinner.
The Russians are feeding some of their soldiers expired inedible MREs. They could have just ordered some Mexican chilli soup from Huel!

I would describe the taste of my dinner as “edible”.

  • Drunk in Mariupol

I’m just sharing this here, because I assume it won’t get reported elsewhere. The man in blue here was caught intoxicated directly behind the frontlines in Mariupol, firing a machine gun at random apartment buildings.

  • Vegetable soup gone wrong!

I’ve never made vegetable soup, so I just grabbed some vegetables, herbs, a dried Carolina reaper, some MSG and pepper in and put it on slow cook mode in my rice cooker along with a little water. Two hours later, and I’ve realised you definitely don’t need that much herbs in there and all of the heat from the chillis has been released from the depths of hell and into my soup. I have successfully invented one of the worst vegetable soups in history.

I did eat it all though ๐Ÿ™‚
