In Germany, it is extremely rare for shops to take cards. In New Zealand, the shops need to emphasise that they do indeed take cash in case people assume they don’t.

SmartSpy RC aircraft
Some of you may have heard that I bought a new Radio Control aircraft the other day. It came with an onboard video camera and even included an SD card. As far as I was aware, this aircraft was “made in Germany”. My German skills must be worse than I thought, as I can’t understand a single word of what these folks are saying from when they tested out the camera on the factory line.

Czech urinal
I’ve seen some weird urinals in my time, but the after party for WordCamp Prague (web geek conference) in the Czech republic, is the only place I have seen food served inside a urinal. I’m not sure how drunk someone needs to get before they’re willing to try the fruit, but I wasn’t about to find out 😛

Prague city
Prague is a beautiful city with amazing architecture. I went there to attend WordCamp Praha 2014 and had a really nice time being shown around my personal tour guide Casey 🙂

My new apartment has some stunning artwork on the walls. This particular master piece was created by a former tenant and improved upon by my lovely new Russian flatmate 🙂
