  • Arctic ocean

Harriet checking out the Arctic ocean temperature. Apparently it was a bit chilly.

  • More statues from Frognerparken

The Norwegians appear to get off on statues. Not sure what’s up with that …

  • Walking in Oslo

I went for a walk from my apartment today. I went on a 15 km tour to the edge of the city and back. I was hoping to find somewhere to skate on a lake called Maridalsvannet, but the whole place is fenced off due to it being the primary water supply for the city.

Tiz not often you see a Moose warning sign whilst going for an afternoon jaunt

  • Frognerparken

I visited Frognerparken, a popular park in Oslo which features a bunch of strange looking statues.

  • Visit from Kerry

My lovely friend Kerry came to visit me in Oslo 🙂 We went to the local ski jump, but were met with a gloriously wonderful array of fog, fog and a little more fog.

  • Arctic explorers

Harriet and I, ready to embark on our great arctic adventure into the untouched wilderness of the Tromsø city center.

  • Pizza with Harriet and Anita

Dinner with Harriet and Anita. We nommed down a ridiculous amount of pizza at which point it suddenly dawned on me that I now consider a $100 bottle of wine to be cheap!

Harriet Geoghegan enjoying the fine dining of Oslo
Anita looking overly excited about the bottle of wine we were about to drink
  • Worlds most northern brewery

Harriet and I visited the worlds most northern brewery, Mack brewery.

Whilst at the brewery we met this nice fellow who helped teach us that people from Oslo actually speak Danish and that we should not live in Oslo or Denmark.
  • Aquarium in Tromsø

The weather turned to poo in Tromsø, so Harriet and I headed to the local aquarium to entertain ourselves for the afternoon.

  • Snow in Tromsø

So, Harriet and I went to Tromsø during the winter. Tromsø is way up in the arctic circle. It apparently snows quite a lot in the arctic circle, who would’ve thought!
